Chandigarh is that rare Indian city built to a single architect's vision. Designed by Le Corbusier after Partition, it remains the country's greenest and most orderly metropolis, its sectors laid out against the backdrop of the Shivalik hills. This 02 night / 03 day short break covers its essentials: Nek Chand's astonishing folk-art universe at the Rock Garden, the rowing boats and promenade of Sukhna Lake, the monumental Capitol Complex (Open Hand Monument, High Court and Secretariat, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Asia's largest Rose Garden and the shops and cafés of Sector 17. On day two the road climbs 20 kilometres to Pinjore, where the 17th-century Yadavindra Gardens descend in seven terraced Mughal levels, fountains and pavilions lit golden at dusk, beside the ancient Bhima Devi Temple. On the final morning, trade the grid plan for the winding forest roads of the Morni Hills, Haryana's only hill station with its twin lakes at Tikkar Taal, before returning to Delhi or the Chandigarh airport. Travel is by private AC car with a Vedantaa chauffeur; the trip pairs perfectly with our Shimla and Himalayan circuits if you wish to extend.

- Morning: Depart Delhi by private car (about 5 hours), Shatabdi express train, or a one-hour flight to Chandigarh airport.
- Afternoon: Check in, then visit the Rock Garden: Nek Chand's 40-acre maze of sculptures, arches and waterfalls built from recycled waste.
- Evening: Walk the Sukhna Lake promenade and take an optional boat ride as the Shivaliks turn gold; browse the plazas of Sector 17.
- Overnight: Chandigarh.
- Morning: Drive 20 km to Pinjore and walk the seven terraces of the Yadavindra Gardens: Mughal pavilions, fountains, the Japanese garden and the ancient Bhima Devi Temple beside it.
- Afternoon: Return to the city for the UNESCO Capitol Complex: the Open Hand Monument, High Court and Secretariat from outside, then the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden and Leisure Valley.
- Evening: Dinner at a café quarter of your choice, or the light-and-sound show at Pinjore on select evenings.
- Overnight: Chandigarh.
- Morning: After breakfast, wind up into the Morni Hills: forested viewpoints, the twin lakes of Tikkar Taal, and optional zip-line and boating at the adventure park.
- Afternoon: Return via the city for any last shopping, then transfer to Chandigarh airport or railway station, or drive back to Delhi (about 5 hours).
- Tour concludes: Or extend onwards to Shimla and the hill stations circuit, only 3.5 hours away.

- Three easy options: a 5 hour private drive from Delhi (included as a booking option), the Shatabdi/Vande Bharat express train (about 3.5 hours), or a one-hour flight to Chandigarh International Airport. All three work with a Friday-evening or Saturday-morning start.
- Yes. Chandigarh is compact and the main sights are close together, so two nights comfortably cover the Rock Garden, lake, Capitol Complex, Pinjore and Morni Hills. Add a third night if you want Chhatbir Zoo, Kasauli or a slower pace.
- The gardens are lovely all year, but February to April brings the flower season and the annual Mango Festival falls in June. Visit in the morning or late afternoon; on select evenings the fountains and terraces are illuminated.
- Absolutely. Chandigarh is the gateway to Himachal: Shimla is about 3.5 hours away, and our Himalayan Hill Stations Circuit begins on exactly this route. Tell us your dates and we will extend the same car and driver into the mountains.
