About This Tour
Overview

This 13-night, 14-day journey strings together India's most iconic monuments, a royal encounter with the Bengal tiger, the lake palaces of Rajasthan and the energy of Mumbai. Begin in Delhi with a full day of Old and New Delhi — the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar and India Gate, with a nostalgic cycle rickshaw ride through the lanes of Chandni Chowk. Drive to Agra for the Taj Mahal at sunrise, the mighty Agra Fort, and an evening cooking demonstration with dinner at a local family. Continue to Ranthambore for morning and afternoon jeep safaris in search of tigers amid the ruins of a 10th-century fort. Head to the Pink City Jaipur — Amber Fort with an elephant or jeep ride, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and the City Palace. Dip into Pushkar, home of the world's only Brahma temple and the sacred Pushkar Lake. Travel through the Aravallis to Udaipur, the City of Lakes — Saheliyon Ki Bari, the City Palace and a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Finally, fly to Mumbai for the Prince of Wales Museum, a ferry to the rock-cut Elephanta Caves, the open-air laundry of Dhobi Ghat and the Gateway of India.

Good to Know
Tour FAQs
What is the best time for this tour?
October to March is ideal — cool days across Delhi, Rajasthan and Mumbai, and the best season for Ranthambore tiger sightings. November is famous for the Pushkar Camel Fair, when we can adjust the schedule to include it.
Do I need a visa for India?
Most nationalities can apply for an e-Tourist Visa online well in advance. We recommend applying at least two weeks before travel and carrying a printed copy along with your passport.
How likely am I to see a tiger in Ranthambore?
Ranthambore is one of India's best reserves for sightings, and this tour includes two jeep safaris (morning and afternoon). Sightings depend on wildlife and season — the dry months of March–May dramatically improve your odds.
Can you add optional activities?
Certainly — hot-air ballooning over Jaipur, a Bollywood studio tour in Mumbai, an evening boat ride on Lake Pichola at Udaipur, or a heritage dinner at a palace hotel can all be arranged on request at an additional cost.
What should I pack?
Light cottons for daytime, layers for cooler evenings (especially in winter), comfortable walking shoes, a scarf for temples, sunglasses, sunscreen, and neutral-coloured clothing for the safaris. Carry a light jacket for the Elephanta ferry.
Can I extend the tour?
Yes — popular extensions include the Golden Triangle's Varanasi, the desert forts of Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, or a Kerala beach finale after Mumbai. We will tailor the programme and cost to your plans.
