Goa is known for its beaches and nightlife, but its southern shore has quietly become one of India's most agreeable places to do nothing, deliberately. This 05 night / 06 day retreat is built around a genuine Ayurvedic programme rather than a spa menu: on arrival you meet the resident Ayurvedic physician for a consultation covering pulse reading, constitution (dosha) assessment and lifestyle history, and your therapy plan is written for your body, not for a brochure. Each morning opens with yoga and pranayama in an open shala facing the Arabian Sea, followed by your prescribed treatments: full-body Abhyanga with warm herbal oils, the warm-oil stream of Shirodhara for deep rest, herbal steam baths, and where advised, body purification (Shodhana) sequences. Meals are Ayurveda vegetarian full board, cooked to your dosha, and the day closes with guided meditation, occasional cultural evenings and a weekly Ayurvedic cooking demonstration. The retreat sits within easy reach of Palolem and Agonda beaches, so between treatments you can walk the sand, and optional excursions cover Old Goa's UNESCO churches, a spice plantation lunch in Ponda and a sunset river cruise from Panaji. Airport transfers from Goa (Dabolim or Mopa) are included; extend the stay to 7 or 14 nights for deeper therapeutic effect.

- Not at all. Sessions are taught for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners, and the teacher adjusts postures to your body. The Ayurveda therapies are gentle and supervised throughout.
- All meals are Ayurveda vegetarian full board, cooked to your dosha with organic, seasonal ingredients and no alcohol served during the programme. The weekly cooking demonstration shows you how to continue the diet at home, and the dietician shares a take-home chart.
- Five nights works well for rest, de-stress and a first taste of Ayurveda. For therapeutic goals such as weight management, spine and neck care or psoriasis support, classical Ayurveda recommends 7 to 14 nights; the same retreat structure simply continues with stronger therapy sequences. Tell us your goal and we will size the stay accordingly.
- October to March offers Goa's best beach weather and the fullest activity calendar. The monsoon months are considered ideal for purification therapies in Ayurveda, and the retreat is at its quietest, so both windows have their logic.
- Yes. The free afternoons suit Old Goa's UNESCO churches, a Ponda spice plantation or a Panaji sunset cruise, all bookable as add-ons. Many guests also extend with 2 nights in North Goa or fly onward to Kochi for our Somatheeram Ayurveda packages.
