About This Tour
Overview

This 13-night journey pairs India's classic Golden Triangle — Delhi, Jaipur and Agra — with the sacred and Nawabi cities of the north: Lucknow, Ayodhya, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Chitrakoot and Varanasi. Begin in Delhi with a full day of Old and New Delhi — the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, India Gate and Qutub Minar. Travel to the Pink City of Jaipur for Amber Fort with its legendary elephant ride, the City Palace, Hawa Mahal and the remarkable Jantar Mantar observatory. At Agra, stand before the Taj Mahal and explore the mighty Agra Fort — two of India's greatest monuments. Then journey east to Lucknow, the city of Nawabs — Hazratganj, the labyrinthine Bada Imambara, the illuminated Chota Imambara, the historic La Martiniere College and the iconic Rumi Darwaza. Continue to Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama — the massive new Ram Temple, Kanak Bhavan and Hanuman Garhi. At Prayagraj, take a boat to the Triveni Sangam — the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati — with a day excursion to the forested hermitage of Chitrakoot. Finally, experience Varanasi, one of the world's oldest living cities: the dawn Ganga Aarti, Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Buddha's first sermon site at Sarnath, before flying back to Delhi and home.

Good to Know
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best time to take this tour?
October to March is ideal — pleasant days and cool nights across Delhi, Rajasthan and the plains of Uttar Pradesh. Festive highlights include Diwali (Oct–Nov), the Kumbh Mela cycle at Prayagraj and the Dev Deepawali of Varanasi. Summers (Apr–Jun) are hot and are best avoided.
Do I need a visa to travel to India?
Yes. Most nationalities can apply for an Indian e-Tourist visa online (recommended at least two weeks before travel). A valid passport with at least six months' validity is required. Our team will guide you through the process at booking.
Which part of the tour is the most memorable?
Every traveller finds their own highlight — the Taj Mahal at sunrise, the elephant ride up Amber Fort, the Ram Temple darshan at Ayodhya, the boat to the Triveni Sangam, and the unforgettable Ganga Aarti at Varanasi's Dashashwamedh Ghat.
Are there optional activities I can add?
Yes — a Hawa Mahal sunrise walk, Rajasthani folk evening in Jaipur, block-printing or gem workshops, a Mehtab Bagh sunset over the Taj, Kashi Vishwanath corridor darshan, and a Varanasi silk weaving visit. Add them when you enquire for a personalised quotation.
What should I pack for this tour?
Light cottons for day, a warm layer for winter evenings, comfortable walking shoes for ghats and forts, a scarf or stole (useful at temples), modest temple attire, sunscreen and a small daypack for the flight day. Modest dress is appreciated at temples and ghats.
Can I extend this tour?
Certainly — popular extensions include Ranthambore's tigers, Pushkar, Gwalior & Orchha, the Bodh Gaya pilgrimage, or the Vrindavan–Mathura circuit. Mention your dates and interests and we will tailor an extended programme.
