In December 1704, in the wars that followed Anandpur, the two youngest sons of Guru Gobind Singh, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh (9) and Sahibzada Fateh Singh (7), along with their grandmother Mata Gujri, were captured and brought to Sirhind. Imprisoned in the open Thanda Burj in winter, the children refused every offer to renounce their faith and were ordered bricked alive into a wall; where they and Mata Gujri gave their lives, the great Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib stands today, its name meaning the Fort of Victory, for their martyrdom is remembered as a triumph of spirit over empire. Three generations later, the Sikh armies razed Sirhind itself. This 02 night / 03 day pilgrimage walks that ground slowly and with the story told properly at every stop: the Fatehgarh Sahib complex with its daily diwan, the Jyoti Sarup shrine on the cremation site, Thanda Burj, the elegant Rauza Sharif of Sheikh Ahmad Sirhindi that speaks of the town's other, Sufi heritage, and the Aam Khas Bagh of Mughal memory. On day two the circuit follows the Guru's family onward: Chamkaur Sahib, where the two elder Sahibzadas, Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh, fell in battle at the Garhi, and Kiratpur Sahib, where three Gurus lived and the ashes of many were blessed by the Sutlej. The night pauses at Anandpur Sahib, and the final morning opens with darshan at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, the Khalsa's birthplace, before the drive home. Travel is by private AC car door to door from Delhi NCR, with gurudwara etiquette briefings and langar at every shrine; the tour suits families, elders and jathas alike, and in late December it can be timed with the Shaheedi Samagam, the great annual commemoration at Fatehgarh Sahib.

- Morning: Pick up from your home in Delhi NCR and drive north into Punjab, arriving Sirhind by early afternoon (or take the morning Shatabdi to Sirhind railway station, just minutes from the shrine).
- Afternoon: Check in, then the first darshan at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib: the story of the young Sahibzadas told at the spot itself, followed by langar.
- Evening: Evening diwan and the illuminated sarovar; for those visiting in late December, the Shaheedi Samagam gatherings and nagar kirtan processions.
- Overnight: Sirhind.
- Morning: The complete Sirhind circuit: Thanda Burj, the cold tower of the imprisonment; Jyoti Sarup, the cremation shrine of Mata Gujri and the Sahibzadas; the Rauza Sharif of Sheikh Ahmad Sirhindi; and the Aam Khas Bagh, the Mughal sarai of Sirhind's imperial past.
- Afternoon: Drive 45 minutes to Chamkaur Sahib: darshan at Gurdwara Garhi Sahib, where Sahibzada Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh fell in battle in 1705, and Qatalgarhi, the field of the fight.
- Late afternoon: Continue 45 minutes to Kiratpur Sahib on the Sutlej, where Gurus Hargobind, Har Rai and Harkrishan lived and taught, then reach Anandpur Sahib for the night.
- Evening: Optional evening diwan at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, then dinner.
- Overnight: Anandpur Sahib.
- Morning: Darshan at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, where the Khalsa was born on Baisakhi of 1699, followed by langar; then the award-winning Virasat-e-Khalsa museum for the full story in light and stone.
- Afternoon: Drive back to Delhi NCR (about 5.5 hours), with a chai stop en route.
- Tour concludes: Or extend with our Punjab Heritage Circuit onward to Amritsar and Patiala, or the Chandigarh & Pinjore short break, both starting minutes away.
The route can be reversed from Chandigarh, and a Baisakhi (April) departure can be timed with the great Khalsa celebrations at Anandpur Sahib. Gurudwara visits require covered heads and removed shoes; scarves and full guidance are provided.

- October to March is comfortable for travel. The Shaheedi Samagam at Fatehgarh Sahib falls in late December, the largest annual commemoration, moving and massive; book far ahead if you want to be part of it. Baisakhi in April adds the Khalsa birth celebrations at Anandpur Sahib.
- Covered head, removed shoes and modest dress at every gurudwara: scarves are provided and your driver briefs you at each stop. The itinerary is paced for elders, with short drives, langar rest stops and lift access at most main complexes. Wheelchair assistance can be arranged on request.
