Overview
The Varanasi Sacred Gateway is Vedantaa's most intimate spiritual tour, condensing the essence of India's holiest city into a carefully paced 3-day immersion. Varanasi, also known as Kashi or Benares, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth and the spiritual heart of Hinduism. This tour begins with an arrival day of temple visits and an evening Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat, one of the most spectacular religious rituals in the world. Day two centres on the Ganges: a private sunrise boat ride as the ghats awaken, a guided walk through the ancient silk-weaving lanes of the old city, and a second evening boat experience. - Afternoon temple tour with scholar guide: Kashi Vishwanath Temple (one of the twelve Jyotirlingas), Annapurna Temple, Durga Temple (Monkey Temple), and the narrow galis of the old city.
- Evening: Board a private boat on the Ganges for the spectacular Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Watch the ceremony from the water as towering brass lamps are offered to the river and thousands of diyas float on the current.

Drift past the 84 ghats as Varanasi wakes: morning prayers, bathing rituals, yoga on the steps, and the first golden light on the ancient riverfront. The boat pauses at Manikarnika Ghat (the cremation ghat) and Harishchandra Ghat for a profound glimpse into the cycle of life and death that defines Kashi.
- Breakfast at the hotel overlooking the river.
- Morning: Walking tour of the old city's narrow galis with a scholar guide. Explore the silk-weaving quarters of Varanasi's famous Banarasi saris, hidden temples, street-food stalls (kachori, jalebi, lassi), and the centuries-old ashrams tucked into the lanes.

- Morning: Drive to Sarnath (10 km), where the Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Visit the Dhamek Stupa (5th century), the Ashoka Pillar with its four lions (India's national emblem), the ruins of ancient monasteries, and the Sarnath Archaeological Museum housing the original Ashoka lion capital.
- Optional: Meditation at the Thai Temple or the Japanese Temple in the Sarnath temple complex.
- Return to Varanasi for lunch and departure transfers.
- Afternoon: Private transfer to Varanasi airport or railway station for your onward journey.
- Tour concludes with the blessings of Kashi.
