About This Tour
Overview

This 11-night journey blends spirituality and splendour across India's most iconic cities. Begin in Delhi, where seven empires have left their mark — cycle-rickshaw through the lanes of Old Delhi past the Jama Masjid and Red Fort, then trace New Delhi's imperial boulevards to India Gate, Humayun's Tomb and the soaring Qutub Minar. Head into the foothills of the Himalayas to Rishikesh, the 'Yoga Capital of the World', where the emerald Ganges rushes out of the mountains — join the evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, cross the famous Laxman Jhula suspension bridge and wander the ashrams where the Beatles once meditated. Return south to Agra for the marble poetry of the Taj Mahal and the mighty Agra Fort, pause at Akbar's red-sandstone ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, and ride up to the Amber Fort in rose-pink Jaipur. Finally, fly west to Mumbai — the Gateway of India, the Victorian Gothic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, the open-air Dhobi Ghat, a ferry to the rock-cut Elephanta Caves, and sunset along the Queen's Necklace of Marine Drive.
