Swayambhunath literally means 'Self-Existent One.' Believed to have been established more than 2,500 years ago, an inscription dated 460 AD states that construction was carried out by King Manadeva. Also known as the Monkey Temple for the holy monkeys living in the North West.

Jomsom, also known as Dzong-Sampa or New Fort, is a beautiful city which extends over both the banks of Kali Gandaki River. It lies in the trans-Himalayan region of Annapurna and is situated at the base of Mt. Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri. Jomsom is the Gateway to Upper Mustang.

Muktinath Temple is the symbol of the religious symbiosis between both Hindus and Buddhists. The Hindu believe that Lord Vishnu got salvation from the curse of Brinda here. The holy shrine, said to have arisen on its own, is one of eight such shrines and one of 108 Vaishnava shrines. At 3,800m, it is one of the highest temples in the world.

World Peace Stupa is a Buddhist pagoda style monument on a hilltop near Pokhara. It provides a panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Pokhara city and the Phewa Lake. The stupa has been painted white as the colour and symbol of peace.

• Devi's Fall — a lovely waterfall where the Pardi Khola mysteriously disappears into an underground passage
• Bindabashini Temple — the white pagoda-styled temple dedicated to Hindu goddess Durga, of great religious importance
• World Peace Stupa (1,100m) — a Buddhist pagoda on a hilltop providing panoramic views of the Annapurna range, Pokhara city, and Phewa Lake. Four majestic statues of the Buddha are placed at the four compass points
• Phewa Lake — the second largest lake in Nepal. Sail or row a boat across to the island temple in the middle. Free time for shopping in the lakeside market
