• After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad:
• Sabarmati Ashram (Gandhi Ashram) — also known as Harijan Ashram or Satyagraha Ashram. Located on the banks of the Sabarmati River adjoining Ashram Road, this was the residence of Mahatma Gandhi from 1917 to 1930. It was from here that Gandhi launched the historic Dandi March on 12 March 1930, a turning point in India's freedom struggle. The ashram houses a museum with photographs, documents, and personal belongings of the Mahatma
• Hutheesing Jain Temple — named after its founder Seth Hathee Singh, a prosperous Jain merchant. This famous Jain temple was built in dedication to the 15th Jain Tirthankara, Dharmnath. The temple is known for its fabulous architectural styling and exquisite carvings, with a stunning pillared hall and intricate marble work
• Adalaj Stepwell — built in 1499 AD by Queen Rudabai. This five-story stepwell (vav) is intricately carved with designs on its walls and pillars including leaves, flowers, birds, fish and breathtaking ornamental patterns. An octagonal structure that descends several stories into the earth
• Akshardham Temple, Gandhinagar — 'Akshardham' literally means the divine abode of God. This traditionally-styled complex was inaugurated on October 30th, 1992 with the blessings of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The mandir is a humble tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781–1830) and the avatars, devas and sages of Hinduism. Timeless devotional messages and vibrant Hindu traditions are echoed in its exquisite art and architecture

Rajkot served as the capital of the princely state of Saurashtra and was home to a young Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who spent his formative years here. The city was also the headquarters of the British Political Agent for the Western India States Agency. Today it is the second-largest city in Gujarat and a thriving centre for education and industry.

• On arrival, check into your hotel
• Afternoon visit the Watson Museum & Library in Jubilee Gardens — commemorating Colonel John Watson, Political Agent from 1886-89. The entrance is flanked by two imperial lions. Exhibits include copies of artefacts from Mohenjodaro, 13th-century carvings, silverware, natural history exhibits, textiles, and dioramas of local tribal costumes and housing styles. A highlight is a huge marble statue of Queen Victoria seated on a throne

• Later visit Kaba Gandhi no Delo — the house where Gandhiji grew up during his childhood and early education. This modest ancestral home offers a moving glimpse into the formative years of the Father of the Nation

Junagadh, meaning "Old Fort," is one of Gujarat's most historic cities, ruled by the Mauryans, the Chudasama Rajputs, the Gujarat Sultans, and the Nawabs of Junagadh. The city sits at the foot of Mount Girnar, considered sacred by both Jains and Hindus, and features over 8,000 steps leading to 866 Jain temples and Hindu shrines on its summit.

• En-route, stop at Junagadh:
• Narsinh Mehta's Choro — a greatly revered place where the great poet and saint Narsinh Mehta used to hold his assemblies, religious discourses, and bhajans in the 15th century. There is a small temple of Gopinath. Narsinh Mehta was one of the great poets of India, a great devotee of Lord Krishna, a scholar, philosopher, and social reformer. His compositions deeply influenced Mahatma Gandhi
• Visit the idol of Shri Damodar Raiji and learn about the rich devotional traditions of the region
• Mahabat Maqbara, Junagadh — a stunning 19th-century mausoleum complex built by the Nawabs of Junagadh. This architectural masterpiece blends Gothic, Baroque, and Islamic styles with intricate stone carvings, twin minarets, and ornate silver doors

The legendary shore temple of Somnath, located near Veraval about 80 kms from Junagadh, is one of the twelve most sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, housing the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas — self-manifested columns of divine light. According to legend, the Somnath temple was originally built in gold by the Moon God (Somraj), later rebuilt in silver by Ravana, then in wood by Lord Krishna, and finally in stone by Bhimdev. Mahmud of Ghazni's infamous invasion in 1024 AD, upon hearing Al Biruni's descriptions of its richness, became one of the most dramatic episodes in Indian history, but the temple rose again — a testament to the unbreakable spirit of faith.

• After breakfast, proceed for temple darshan at Somnath Temple — one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, the most sacred shrines of Lord Shiva
• Offer prayers at the sanctum where the Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva is enshrined, facing the endless expanse of the Arabian Sea
• Visit the Somnath Sound & Light Show (evening) — a moving retelling of the temple's legendary history across millennia
• Explore the Rudreshvara Temple — a ruined temple located near the Somnath complex, dating from the same period as the main temple and laid out in a similar fashion. The sculptures on the walls and doorways give a vivid indication of what the original Somnath Temple once looked like
• Walk along the Somnath beach — the vast Arabian Sea stretches to the horizon, with the temple spire rising against the sky
• Evening: attend the magnificent evening aarti at the Somnath Temple — a deeply spiritual experience as lamps are offered to the deity accompanied by chanting and bells

Porbandar, a coastal city on the Arabian Sea, is the birthplace of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who was born here on 2 October 1869. The town has been a significant port since ancient times and was known as Sudamapuri — the hometown of Sudama, Lord Krishna's childhood friend. Dwarka, one of the seven most ancient religious cities (Sapta Puri) in India, is believed to be the legendary kingdom of Lord Krishna, established after he left Mathura. The Dwarkadish Temple's five-storey tower is said to have been originally built by Sambha, Lord Krishna's grandson.

• After breakfast, check out and drive along the coast to Porbandar
• Visit Kirti Mandir — the memorial temple built in memory of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi. The memorial stands at the very place where the Mahatma was born, preserving the atmosphere of his childhood home
• Explore the Gandhi-related exhibits and the quiet, contemplative surroundings
• Continue along the coast to Dwarka
• Arrive in Dwarka and check into your hotel
• Evening: attend the awe-inspiring evening aarti at the Dwarkadish Temple. The temple has a five-storey tower built by Sambha, Lord Krishna's grandson. Made of limestone and sand, a flag is hoisted in the temple tower four times each day, waving beautifully to welcome pilgrims. The structure has two gateways: Swarga Dwar (Gate to Heaven) where pilgrims enter, and Moksha Dwar (Gate to Salvation) where pilgrims exit after darshan

Bet Dwarka, also known as Bet Shankhoddar, is an island just 5 kms off the Okha coast, accessible by a short boat ride. It is said to be the place where Lord Krishna lived with his family when he ruled Dwarka. It is also believed to be the site where Vishnu slew the demon Shankhasura. The Nageshwar Mahadev Temple houses one of the 12 Jyotirlingas — a column of light representing Lord Shiva. The Puranas hold this shrine in the highest reverence among Shaivites.

• After breakfast, set off for a full day of sacred exploration
• Bet Dwarka Island — take a short boat ride (5 km from Okha Jetty) to this sacred island. Visit the Krishna Temple which holds much of interest. Explore the island's temples and experience the serene coastal atmosphere where the divine and the mundane intertwine
• Nageshwar Mahadev Temple — one of the 12 Jyotirlingas or columns of light representing Lord Shiva, who manifested in this form at this sacred location. The shrine is accorded the highest respect by devotees
• Rukmani Temple — the temple dedicated to Lord Krishna's chief consort, Rukmani. According to legend, Rukmani was the princess of Vidarbha who eloped with Krishna, and this temple honours her devotion and grace
• Return to Dwarka town; evening at leisure to explore the local markets and ghats along the Gomti River
• Overnight at Dwarka
